At TNA Victory Road in March 2011, Sting was scheduled to face Jeff Hardy for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. However, Jeff Hardy appeared to be in no condition to compete, reportedly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The match started, but it quickly became apparent that something was wrong with Jeff Hardy. He stumbled around the ring and appeared to be unable to perform properly. Sting attempted to salvage the situation by trying to end the match quickly, but Hardy was unable to cooperate.

After only a few minutes, Sting pinned Hardy for the win.

The match was highly criticized by fans and wrestling critics, and TNA issued an apology for the incident.

The incident led to Jeff Hardy taking a hiatus from wrestling and seeking help for his substance abuse problems. It also damaged TNA's reputation and caused them to reevaluate their policies on drug and alcohol testing for their wrestlers.
